Senior Finance Executive – GL & AP

Responsibilities:

GL & Group Finance

  • Able to handle full sets of accounts.
  • Perform the essential day to day and month-end activities required for accurate reporting.
  • Review and monitor entries posted into system and to ensure it is accurate and timely basis.
  • Ensure accounting records are in compliance with the company's policy and statutory requirements.
  • Monitor existing accounting policies adopted and proactively identify gaps for improvement.
  • Support for internal & annual audit and tax submission.
  • Undertake any accounting & reporting requirements and ad-hoc duties as requested by Supervisor.

Account payable

  • Prepare monthly reconciliation for Overseas agent.                                                                  
  • Monitor the contra account for Overseas Agent and follow up on AR collection.                  
  • Prepare all overseas agent payment and post into system.                                                     
  • Monitor the Cash Flow for bank account.
  • Monitor AR AP Ageing and further investigate on long outstanding.
  • Reply e-mail and attend to requests from Operation and vendor.
  • Problem solving for issues related with account payable matter.

Requirements:
  • Candidate must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy or equivalent.
  • At least (3-5) years of working experience in the accounting and finance field is required for this position, candidate with logistics background is encouraged to apply.

  • Computer literate with good understanding and command of Microsoft Office and accounting system.

Ocean Export Executive

Responsibilities:
  • Provide customer support to all vendors, suppliers, agents, and government agencies to facilitate the export objective while ensuring accurate accounting functions relating to the billing, distribution and collection of funds.
  • Timely preparation of all required documentation (Letter of credit, Ocean Bill of Lading, Service Report Log, etc) for export functions and international transportation.
  • Ensure that export process is accordance to the company and industry quality assurance standards (ISO, Customs, etc.).
  • Responsible to close shipments and filing. Must be capable of performing all the essential functions with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Interact with our customers in a courteous manner, arranging their international shipments, meeting customer service standards.
  • Ensure documents are timely sent and arrival notices communicated to overseas and customers.

Ocean Export Manager

Responsibilities:
  • Execute the global and/or local ocean freight products and trades lanes/networks and procurement strategy on FCL and LCL products.
  • Ensure consistent achievement of operational standards to meet customers’ requirements.
  • Manage productivity and profitability the day-to-day operations, quality of the services as well as development of skills manpower.
  • Maintaining good customer relationships is vital to the function of the Export department and so monitoring customer feedback is essential to maintain high levels of customer service.
  • Provide support to all vendors, suppliers, agents, and government agencies to facilitate the export department objectives while ensuring accurate accounting functions relating to the billing, distribution, and collection of funds.
  • Contribute to maintain good relationships with suppliers (Ocean carriers, trucking companies and others involved).
  • Overseeing Ocean Export team and determine the training/development needed for the team.
Requirements:
  • At least a degree, preferable major in Logistics and/or Supply Chain Management.
  • At least 5-8 years of working experience in Logistics/Freight Forwarding is preferred.
  • Has working experience in a global forwarding/logistics company.
  • Well versed experience in handling LCL, FCL, Transhipment and Nomination shipments.
  • The prioritize will be given to candidates who are from forwarders/shipping line industry.
  • Good exposure in international market segments especially USA trade lanes.

Ocean Export Executive (Procurement)

Responsibilities:
  • Manage the Ocean Export procurement process to focus on the key Performance Deliverables.
  • Develop Procurement initiative, focus carrier strategy & Operational Process/KPIs to achieve operation excellence.
  • Build up critical carrier relationships with ocean carriers, acting as first point of appreciation for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Responsible for rate accuracy for container services, organizing contract service lanes and space allocation requests.
  • Develop ocean procurement strategies and market opportunities for all trade lanes.
  • Publish regular ocean carrier reports and ocean industry analysis.
  • Lead and Manage the Sea procurement process to focus on the key performance deliverables.
  • Work with overseas partners and Ocean team to minimize unit costs by effective procurement, cargo mixing and prioritizing sales opportunities accordingly.
  • Develop procurement initiative, focus carrier strategy & Operational Process/KPIs to achieve operation excellence.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree with experience in Ocean freight and Procurement.
  • At least 3 - 4years’ experience in the logistics sector with a special focus on Ocean procurement.
  • An in depth understanding and knowledge of deep-sea Ocean Freight.
  • Good level MS Outlook and Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Power-Point).
  • Broad knowledge of Ocean transportation including:
